Bizen ware (備前焼) is one of Japan’s oldest ceramic traditions, known for its unglazed surface and natural firing effects.
This sake set includes a tokkuri (sake bottle) and guinomi (cup), handcrafted by Japanese ceramic artist Yasuyuki Takeuchi (竹内 靖之).
Fired without glaze, the soft clay body is marked by natural flame patterns, creating warm blush tones and flowing organic lines unique to Bizen ware. The gentle contrast between pale clay and reddish fire markings gives the set a calm yet expressive presence.
The tokkuri fits comfortably in the hand, while the guinomi is well-balanced for drinking, making this set ideal for quiet, intentional moments.
