Bizen ware (備前焼) is one of Japan’s oldest ceramic traditions, known for its unglazed surface and natural firing marks created in the kiln.
This tokkuri (sake bottle) is a one-of-a-kind piece by ceramic artist Yasuyuki Takeuchi. The soft beige clay body is accented by natural reddish firing patterns, formed organically during the wood-firing process.
The form is simple and balanced, allowing the texture and subtle color transitions to stand out. It can be used for serving sake or appreciated as a sculptural object within a space.
