Igusa Setta (い草雪駄) are traditional Japanese sandals, carefully crafted one by one by artisans.
Unlike common synthetic soles, this pair uses real tatami — the same igusa (woven rush grass) material used in traditional Japanese flooring. The texture is naturally breathable, keeping your feet dry and comfortable even during warmer seasons.
Compared to vinyl or synthetic materials that can feel sticky with moisture, igusa offers a soft, dry touch with a subtle natural scent.
Each pair is individually made, with attention to balance, material feel, and durability. The sole is constructed with a cushioned sponge base, providing gentle support and making them comfortable for extended wear.
Designed to be worn with the heel slightly off the back, following the traditional Japanese style.
