About the Artist

Born in Dachi, Gifu Prefecture, Masanori Tanaka dedicated his life to exploring the expressive beauty of Oribe ceramics.

Despite decades of kidney disease and dialysis, he continued creating with extraordinary determination. Following a successful transplant, his artistic passion only deepened. Later complications from infection sadly ended his life, leaving behind a remarkable body of work cherished by collectors.

Each surviving piece represents the final legacy of an artist who never stopped creating.
