Sakushu Kuro Black Soybean Tea — Okayama, Japan
A naturally caffeine-free Japanese tea made from Sakushu Kuro, a large black soybean variety grown in the Mimasaka region of northern Okayama, Japan.
Known in Japanese as kuromame cha, black soybean tea is enjoyed for its warm roasted aroma, mellow flavor and gentle natural sweetness.
This tea is made using carefully selected Sakushu Kuro black soybeans, a regional variety cultivated in the fertile lands of Mimasaka. The beans are prepared and packed into pyramid-shaped tea bags to allow their rich, roasted aroma to infuse into the water.
The result is a comforting amber-colored tea with a deep, toasty and subtly nutty character.
Unlike green tea or black tea, kuromame cha is naturally caffeine-free, making it an easy drink to enjoy throughout the day, either hot or chilled.
