This shallow Shigaraki ceramic vessel is designed for ikebana — the Japanese art of flower arrangement.

Its low, open form creates space around flowers rather than containing them, allowing each branch, stem, and seasonal element to breathe. The wide silhouette and quiet surface make even a simple arrangement feel intentional.

Made in Shigaraki, Japan, the piece carries the earthy texture and subtle irregularities characteristic of traditional Japanese pottery. With its stable weight and shallow plate-like form, it can also be used as a serving plate or decorative ceramic dish when not used for flowers.

Displayed with flowers, used as a plate, or left empty as an object, it brings a calm presence to the table or room.

A separate glass flower holder can be added for arranging stems, but is not included with this listing.
