This Japanese vegetable knife (nakiri) features a traditional kurouchi (black-forged) finish, known for its sharpness and understated, raw aesthetic.
Designed specifically for cutting vegetables, the straight edge allows for clean, precise cuts without the need for a rocking motion. It is ideal for slicing, chopping, and preparing ingredients with control and consistency.
Unlike single-bevel knives, this knife has a double-bevel edge, making it easier to use for those familiar with Western-style kitchen knives while still offering the performance of a traditional Japanese tool.
The iron blade provides excellent sharpness and develops a natural patina over time, adding character with use. The handle is made from natural wood, offering a comfortable and balanced grip.
A practical, everyday knife that carries the quiet presence of traditional Japanese craftsmanship.
