quiet Japanese boundary stone made with a natural stone from Niigata and seima hemp cord.
This sekimori ishi is inspired by a traditional Japanese garden object used to gently mark a boundary or suggest “please do not enter.” In the home, it becomes a small sculptural object — quiet, symbolic, and deeply tactile.
The stone has a soft gray tone with a subtle purple cast, wrapped by hand with natural seima hemp. Each piece carries the weight and texture of the stone itself, making it suitable for a shelf, entryway, tea space, meditation corner, or small interior arrangement.
A small object of pause, boundary, and stillness.
