A one-of-a-kind Japanese Sekimori Ishi made from natural Niigata foitite tourmaline stone.
This piece features a softly rounded pale stone with delicate natural speckling, carefully bound by hand with natural cord. Its quiet form and restrained composition reflect the understated beauty of Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetics.
Sekimori Ishi are traditionally placed in Japanese gardens and tea gardens as subtle boundary markers, gently indicating that an area should not be entered. Today, they are also appreciated as sculptural objects for interiors, meditation spaces, entryways, tea rooms, and minimalist displays.
The natural markings, texture, shape, and color of the stone are entirely unique. This is a one-of-a-kind piece, and the exact item shown in the photographs will be sent.
