A handcrafted Japanese Sekimori Ishi made from natural Niigata stone.

This unique two-tier composition combines a rectangular stone base with a naturally rounded stone, carefully bound in the traditional Sekimori Ishi style.

Sekimori Ishi are traditionally placed in Japanese gardens and tea gardens as subtle boundary markers, gently indicating that an area should not be entered. Today, they are also appreciated as sculptural objects that embody the quiet beauty of Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetics.

The contrast between the angular base, rounded upper stone, and black cord gives this piece a strong architectural presence. It works beautifully as an accent for an entryway, tea room, shelf, garden, or minimalist interior.

Each stone has its own natural shape, texture, and color, making this a one-of-a-kind piece.
