A minimalist cast iron pheasant sculpture by Kamasada, a Japanese ironware workshop based in Morioka, Iwate Prefecture.
Designed by Shotaro Miya, the second-generation craftsman of Kamasada, this ornament represents a modern interpretation of traditional Nambu ironware, bringing sculptural design into an everyday living space.
The pheasant is depicted in an elegant, upright pose, with its head turned slightly backward as though observing something behind it.
Its elongated neck, curved body, and sharply defined silhouette create a remarkable sense of balance and quiet movement.
The matte black cast iron contrasts beautifully with the natural wooden base, emphasizing the simplicity of its form.
An understated sculptural object that can be displayed on a shelf, desk, or sideboard, either on its own or alongside other works of Japanese design.
