Description
A quiet, powerful piece of Japanese studio pottery.
This small plate is part of the final collection by Masanori Tanaka, a ceramic artist born in Dachi, Gifu (Japan), known for pursuing a personal world of expression rooted in traditional techniques. Despite living with long-term kidney disease and years of dialysis, he never stopped creating—continuing to search for new forms until the end of his life.
This piece is more than tableware. It is a final proof of devotion to clay—made by hand, one by one—with texture and warmth that only true studio pottery can carry.
Perfect as a minimalist side plate, tea snack dish, or incense plate. Each plate is handmade and unique—no two are exactly alike.
