Description
A hand-dyed Kyoto shibori tenugui made by a certified Kyo-Kanoko Shibori craftsman.
About this item
This tenugui features a traditional Makiage Shibori (巻き上げ絞り) pattern, creating soft fan-like forms at both ends. The hand-dyeing process produces natural blurring and gentle gradation, making each piece entirely unique.
Lightweight, absorbent, and quick-drying, it is suitable for everyday use while also functioning beautifully as minimalist textile wall decor. The simple, refined design pairs naturally with wabi-sabi and modern interiors.
Curator’s Note
Selected for its sculptural pattern balance and the quiet elegance created by hand-dyed gradation.
