Description
A quiet object shaped entirely by nature.
This Sekimori-ishi (Guardian Stone) is created using a naturally striped stone sourced in Niigata, Japan, paired with traditional shuro (palm fiber) rope.
Sekimori-ishi originate from a historic Japanese practice in which stones were placed to subtly suggest boundaries within tea gardens and pathways. Rather than blocking movement, the stone communicates intention through presence.
