Description
Edition 01: Monochrome
A one-of-a-kind Japanese stone art set presented in a paulownia (kiri) wood box.
Created by Marika, founder of WabiSabi Kitchen.
The set is wrapped in hand-traced calligraphy paper, creating a quiet dialogue between natural form and written history.
You will receive the exact set pictured.
Concept
“Silent Fragments” explores the intersection of two scales of time: the geological time of stones shaped by waves and weather, and the human time preserved in historical Japanese manuscripts. By pairing natural stone with traces of calligraphy, each work becomes a composition of balance, tension, and stillness.
Edition 01: Monochrome
This first edition features five stones selected for their restrained, ink-like tones. Like a suiboku-ga (ink wash painting), the palette expresses depth through subtle gradations of black, grey, and mineral white.
Limited to five unique sets. Each set is individually numbered.
Stones in This Set
• The Beacon – Velvet-black stone marked by a vivid white line
• The Shadow – Deep matte fragment that softly absorbs light
• The Mosaic – Complex mineral textures with natural variation
• The Drift – Pale grey stone with gentle flowing patterns
• The Anchor – Small grounded form with a triangular silhouette
