A traditional Ko-Iga (Old Iga-style) donabe from TOJIKI, carefully made at a kiln in Iga, one of Japan’s most historic pottery regions. Iga clay naturally contains carbonized plant matter; when fired, it becomes a porous body that stores heat exceptionally well. This heat retention helps cook ingredients slowly and evenly to the core—bringing out sweetness and umami without drying them out.

Sized as a 6-go (No.6) pot, it’s ideal for one-person hot pot meals and small-batch cooking. From simmered dishes to quick soups, this donabe turns simple ingredients into something deeply comforting.

Key Features
• Iga clay heat retention: porous fired body holds heat and cooks gently through the center
• Umami-focused cooking: slow, even heat helps preserve flavor and moisture
• No.6 size (for one): perfect for solo donabe meals and small portions

Ideal for
• One-person hot pot (nabe), sukiyaki, or udon
• Simmered dishes, soups, and small stews
• Rice porridge (okayu) or warming seasonal dishes
