Vintage Japanese Negoro-style lacquer two-drawer chest, finished in a rich vermilion red with expressive black brushstroke details.
The contrast between the warm red lacquer and irregular black markings gives the piece a strong graphic quality while retaining the quiet character of traditional Japanese lacquerware.
With two functional drawers, it is a beautiful size for storing jewelry, accessories, stationery, tea utensils, or other small objects. It also works particularly well as a decorative object on a shelf, console, or bedside table.
The compact architectural form and bold lacquer finish allow it to sit comfortably in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
