A sculptural black ceramic pot with a matching ceramic trivet by Japanese ceramic artist **Jinnai Sakata (坂田甚内)**, known for his distinctive work in Mashiko, Japan.

The pot features a wide, shallow body with two extended handles and finely textured horizontal lines. Its dark charcoal surface reveals subtle variations in tone, emphasizing the natural character of the clay.

The accompanying circular ceramic trivet is decorated with flowing, carved patterns and an irregular edge. Together, the two pieces create a striking composition that brings together the familiar form of Japanese cookware and the expressive qualities of sculptural pottery.

The largest of three related pieces in our collection, this pot has a particularly strong architectural presence. Displayed together or individually, the pot and trivet make a distinctive addition to a curated interior.
